Fatsia Japonica

Fatsia Japonica is a hardy plant that can be grown both indoors & outdoors. Its large, broad leaves are its dominant characteristic, which spread on the end of its long, tender stems. The Japanese Aralia’s bright evergreen leaves add rich foliage to the garden or home all year round. It works really well in a shaded part of the garden where other plants may not perform so well.

This plant is often introduced to tropical gardens for its unusual style which is unique amongst a typical English garden. It is also both salt and wind tolerant meaning it can perform just as well in woodland as it can in a seaside garden.

If kept indoors, Fatsia performs best in a cool room – which is great to consider for conservatories or areas which are more prone to drafts. Move away from warm rooms in Winter and bear in mind that this plant is quite slow growing.
