About Oxy-Plants
Oxy-Plants are an online plant shop. We provide indoor plants, plant pots and plant care tools to homes throughout the UK. We aim to make buying houseplants as easy as possible – delivering straight to your door, offering easy returns & refunds if you are not happy with your purchase.
We rent office plants to businesses in the North West of England, as well as delivering indoor plants to businesses nationwide – breathing life into people’s working day lives.
We also rent plants whether for events, parties or weddings.
We aim to use only sustainable packaging. Over 90% of all our packaging is recyclable, compostable or re-used. If you do receive a plant with a plastic protective wrap, this is because it arrived from our suppliers with it and instead of binning it and using more paper, we see it better to re-use an existing material. We hope to one day be able to use 100% recyclable material and are striving to achieve this.
Plant Care
It’s important to know how much natural light you get in your room through the day. Generally, a South facing window will benefit from the most natural light throughout the day. Whereas facing North gives you a shaded retreat whilst to the East or West pops you in the middle of the spectrum.
You can checkout our plants that like shade.
The simplest trick is to stick a finger into the topsoil and if it feels moist up to the second knuckle of your finger (roughly one inch) then it does not require watering. Additionally, by ensuring there are holes in your nursery pot or a stone/gravel layer between your main pot bottom and soil. This will allow the water within your soil to drain through and prevent the soil becoming saturated which leads to an anaerobic environment developing.
It’s usually the best policy to underwater rather than over-water as drowning your plant can suffocate the roots and lead to the quick death of your plant.
Its very unlikely you will need to re-pot your plant as soon as you receive it. All our plants come in a plastic nursery pot with holes in the bottom to allow drainage. You can simply take the plant and nursery pot you receive and place it in a nicely fitting plant pot. You can find the nursery pot size of the plant’s product page so you can choose the right pot.
Orders
The subscriptions for our office plant rental service are processed through GoCardless once per month.
If your order failed and the reason shows it was due to a ‘failed ZIP code verification’, it’s because your post code does not match the one on your payment method.
If your shipping address is different to your billing tick the box at the bottom at the checkout page that says ‘Deliver to a different address‘. Here you need to enter the shipping address and your billing details at the top.

If you could kindly wait another day to see if it arrives the next day, and if it doesn’t, please contact us and will chase up where it is with the couriers.
We deliver across the UK including Northern Ireland and the Highlands.
Issues
Plants are grouped by height brackets (90-110cm for example), but if you click the height variation on the product page you will see the true height.
We ask that you allow us a 10% discrepancy with this advertised plant height. Also to note our plants are measured from the botom of the nursery pot to the tip of the tallest leaf.
If your plant is outside this limit, it may well be that there has been a mix-up in the distribution warehouse and we will do our utmost to resolve this as swiftly as possible for you.
