How To Care For African Milk Tree
Water your African Milk Tree roughly once a month, or when the top half (to all) your soil has dried through. If you’re struggling to gauge this, be sure to use the “thumb trick”. Pop your thumb into the soil to see if it is dry, or moist.
Be sure to place your African Milk Tree in a spot with plenty of sun and and warmth. A spot near a living room or bedroom window would be perfect.
There’s no need to worry about humidity with this succulent. If you’re misting your other houseplants, it’s best to give this one a miss!
The African Milk Tree loves a well-draining, loamy soil. Try to keep your soil a neutral pH as well.
As your Milk Tree may flower, it’s always helpful to use a little fertiliser during the growing season. Make sure you invest in some Miracle-Gro Succulent Plantfood, or cactus potting mix.
African Milk Trees are naturally resistant to most pests and bugs. However, watch out for spider mites and mealybugs. If your plant comes into contact with any, use some of our natural neem oil to treat.
Consider repotting your African Milk Tree once a year. Every time you do it, it’s wise to buy a plant pot 1-2 cm’s larger. This should help to give some growing room!
